The Political Class:
2016 Debate of Thrones
by Jerry & Larry Larson
Thanks for reading the copy for my series "Debate of Thrones 2016" from my comic strip "Political Class: Political Cartoons by Jerry & Larry Larson." I'm still working on it all, but I'm in a rush to get the trading cards in time for the annual Blowsburg Blueberry Arts Fest.
I came up with the idea to draw a comic strip for my Politics 101 class. Instead of doing my final project, which was to research something really boring and make some sort of argument, I made up a father-daughter comic strip duo who draw caricatures of the presidential candidates in the 2016 election. I wrote, illustrated, and printed copies for all the kids at school who basically just dropped them on the ground or threw them away.
My teacher didn't really like that I didn't do the assignment. She gave me an F. I was pretty upset about it, but one of the other teachers at school, Mr. Christmas said it was a 'cool project' and my friends thought it was funny so I don't really care anymore.
People often come across the fictional comic strip heroes Jerry & Larry Larson-- and they ask me "Don't you mean Gary Larson?" and I say "no." Then they ask me, "Don't you mean Stan & Jan Berenstain? and I say "No!" and then I storm out of the room because I really can't handle everyone's dumb questions.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy "Debate of Thrones 2016."
